Custom Solutions

One-off builds and works in progress — like the Haltech 7 Dash. Bespoke HMI and control for projects that don't fit an off-the-shelf product.

The platform

One display platform. Every product.

Every Helm Dynamics product is built on the same family of Riverdi intelligent display modules — automotive-temperature rated, optically bonded, driven by an on-board STM32. It's why a keypad, a dash and a bespoke build all share the same responsive feel, the same CAN-native core, and the same over-the-air update path.

01
Instant-on
A real-time processor, not a Linux single-board computer — live and on the bus the moment the screen powers up, with nothing to corrupt when you cut the power.
02
CAN-native
Reads and speaks the vehicle bus directly — live data in, real commands out, no scan-tool polling.
03
Built to live in the cabin
Automotive-rated displays, optically bonded, readable in sunlight and stable at temperature.
04
Updatable in the field
Signed over-the-air firmware and configuration, so a product keeps improving after it's fitted.
Why Riverdi

Quality where you'll see it.

We could have fitted a cheaper panel — plenty do. Instead every Helm Dynamics product uses a Riverdi display with the cover glass optically bonded to the panel: no air gap between you and the image. That bonding is what gives deep, true blacks and vivid colour, kills the internal reflections that wash a screen out in sunlight, and makes the glass tougher with a more solid touch. It costs more — and it shows every time you glance at the dash.

Regular air bonding versus Riverdi optical bonding — colour and contrast
Regular air bonding (left) vs Riverdi optical bonding (right) — richer colour and deeper contrast, with none of the hazy air-gap wash-out.
Regular air bonding versus Riverdi optical bonding — black level
The air gap greys the black and throws reflections; optical bonding keeps the black deep and the screen readable in sunlight.
01
Deeper blacks & colour
No air gap to scatter light — blacks stay black and colour stays saturated.
02
Readable in sunlight
Bonding cuts the internal reflections that make a cheap panel disappear in daylight.
03
Tougher, better touch
The bonded stack is stronger and more responsive than an air-gapped screen — built for the cabin.
